Join us in welcoming Kassidy Baxter to our team!

By Rob

Kassidy is working with us in the role of Cultural Office Assistant. Kassidy’s employment with us is funded by the Federal government’s Canada Summer Jobs program.

Kassidy is a 3Xs great granddaughter of Sam Baptiste and her mom, Diane Martin, is the Indigenous Program Facilitator for Algonquin Inòdewiziwin Child and Family Centre.

Kassidy brings youth, energy and an eagerness to learn more about her Indigenous culture into our work space and we enjoy having her upbeat presence in the office.

Kassidy is a proud Algonquin woman and a member of Kijicho Manito Madaouskarini Algonquin First Nation. She has developed her administration and management skills while working with animals, which is one of her favourite things. Her previous employment experience includes Barn Stable management and Vet Tech/Office assistant for a local veterinarian. She has also contributed many volunteer hours sharing her passion for animals with children. In her free time, she enjoys nature walks with her dog and riding her horse. Kassidy looks forward to learning more about her culture and meeting fellow community members. She is excited to contribute her strengths and determination to our team!
